Artisan tweed tote bag
I have used a very special tweed, woven by hand locally in Cumbria by Jan Beadle, to make this soft but sturdy leather handled tote bag. The weave is a distinctive pinwheel pattern, far more elegant than your usual houndstooth I think but every bit as sophisticated!
The bag stands up on its own when empty due to the substantial interlining, which gives the bag structure and holds its subtle, curved shape. The base is reinforced and has metal bag feet. The lining is a playful polar bear print and there is an internal zipped pocket.
It can be left open or closed at the top with a single magnetic snap. It would be perfect for wearing in the crook of your elbow, or holding by hand, but probably isn't suitable for wearing on your shoulder. The handles are good quality dark brown leather and there is a vintage button decoration on the back. It comes with its own Hole House wooden tag.
