Hole House Shopper Pattern PDF
Hole House Shopper Pattern - PDF
The Shopper is a brilliant beginner's bag pattern as there are only 2 pattern pieces and no interlinings or complicated bag hardware to contend with. The magnetic snap closure is optional (but advised) and the construction is a great introduction to the 'bagged out' method of bag making.
There is an optional zipped pocket to keep your valuables safe. The size of this pocket it up to you, so as it's a rectangle, I have not included a pattern template for this.
For more experienced bag makers, this is a speedy project that is brilliant for using as a starting point for embellishment, extra pockets and experimentation with different fabrics.
You will receive a zip file, which consists of 4 separate files: an A0 copy of the pattern for printing at a printshop, an A1 copy of the pattern in case you have access to an A1 printer, an A4 copy of the pattern for printing at home and tiling together and the pattern instructions.
(The pattern is made up of only two pieces which fit onto A1 paper, I have included an A0 version as well as many print shops request this for larger scale printing. Just be aware that if requesting an A0 copy, half the paper will be blank so you may prefer to print on A4 at home and stick the pieces together)
If you have any problems with the pattern please email me at hole.house@hotmail.com
Please note: if you print at home onto A4 paper, there should be a 'grid' number at the bottom of each page. This refers to the order you should stick your pieces together in. The grid reference is two numbers, the first is the row, the second is the column. Work from left to right. Start with 1,1 then stick 1,2 to the right of it, then stick 1,3 and 1,4 etc. When the first number changes to 2, that's the second row, so 2,1 will go below 1,1, 2,2 goes below 1,2 etc.
